Meet Lucy

Helping you pursue the version of success you define for yourself.

I’m an executive coach, consultant, and writer helping people and organizations move forward with clarity, strength, and heart. My two core interests have always been sports and social impact, and my favorite projects are at the intersection of those two.

I’ve worked on multiple women’s sports expansion projects through my work at Bloom Sports Partners, helping properties across the WNBA, NWSL, Athletes Unlimited, USL Super League, and Women’s Elite Rugby prepare for launch.

Before Bloom, I helped launch Angel City FC and was the chief of staff at Sports Innovation Lab.

My career began in the public sector, where I worked for the Central Intelligence Agency,

Accenture Federal Services, and on Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign.

I completed a joint MBA-MPA program with Stanford GSB and Harvard Kennedy School, where I found conviction to pursue my unique path and met some amazing classmates along the way.

During graduate school, I had my first exposure to case writing, and now have a growing portfolio of custom MBA case studies in use at Stanford and Northwestern Kellogg.

I bring this diverse experience into everything I do, whether coaching former athletes through transition, guiding a team through organizational growth, or crafting impactful leadership content.

My Journey

Basketball shaped much of my early life, both on and off the court. I played at WashU in St. Louis, where I studied accounting, marketing, and women & gender studies. I’ve always cared about systems, stories, and people, and I’m drawn to work that helps all three move forward.

I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, fifth-generation on one side and sixth on the other. I grew up close to my family and even closer to my grandma, who inspired much of how I move through the world: curious, grounded, and purpose-driven.

    • I’ve visited all 50 states and every Chicago Public Library

    • I bike across Iowa each summer (RAGBRAI, anyone?) and I’m currently on a mission to try every public fitness center in the city

    • I volunteer with Girls in the Game and love supporting the next generation of girls in sport and leadership

    • If I’m not working, you can probably find me journaling, reading, or playing pickleball

Core Values

The Principles that Ground Everything I Do
  • I approach every client and project with the intention to be helpful, responsive, and supportive. Service, to me, is about showing up fully, ready to collaborate, contribute, and make something better.

How I Live It: weekly volunteering at Girls in the Game.

  • I ask questions, challenge assumptions, and genuinely enjoy getting to know people and organizations. Curiosity fuels my ability to listen deeply and help clients uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface.

How I Live It: exploring all 81 Chicago Public Libraries and 71 Chicago Park District fitness centers.

  • Joy is a core part of how I lead and coach. I believe that progress and growth don’t have to feel heavy—they can be energizing, creative, and even fun. Building meaningful relationships is part of the joy, too.

How I Live It: weekly rollerblading with accompanying music along Lake Michigan.

  • I give my best effort every time. Whether I’m writing a case study, facilitating a strategic session, or coaching one-on-one, I bring structure, consistency, and commitment to the process.

How I Live It: calling my grandma daily and getting 10K steps per day every day for the past year!
